The Alux Company builds a great online shopping experience selling a wide range of electronics. The Alux Company is looking for a skilled accountant who is detail oriented and hard working. He/She will be working with the accounting director to prepare financial reports and day to day operational tasks. The successful candidate will be able to manage multiple tasks, and be comfortable working with other functional teams to understand processes.

Responsibilities

  • Review, analyze and reconcile accounts
  • Prepare financial reports, and process all tax files
  • Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
  • Maintain various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
  • Assist accounting manager with on-going projects
  • Ensure all tasks are completed and in-line with corporate policies and procedures

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • English proficiency
  • Portfolio with experience in the accounting field
  • Proficient with working on Mac and PC platforms

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent in accounting/finance
  • CPA
  • At least 3 years of experience in accounting field
  • Knowledge of studio workflows
  • Proficient using Excel, Quickbooks, and other accounting programs
  • Comfortable with continuous change
